Rollrights, one of several standing stones a few miles from Hook Norton

Around Hook Norton ...

... there are plenty of things to see and do. As I'd arrived before the others I spent a morning in Chipping Camden, mostly at a coffee shop in the Craft area on Sheep Street where a delightful girl served coffee, cakes and bonhomie to one and all.

For me the attraction was the free wireless broadband, so I was able to catch up with a few things while drinking my coffee.

There are plenty of market towns for shopping and strolling hereabouts, so though we were here for walking there are many alternatives.

On the way back I stopped to gaze at the neolithic stone ring called the Rollrights. In fact it's three adjacent groups dating back to 2500 BCE and the photo above is of one stone, named the King stone, standing separately nearby.
