Wells Next the Sea March 2011

The Final Leg

The final leg of our walk up the Peddars Way and across the North Norfolk Coastal Path began at Wells Next The Sea and headed towards Cromer.

Though all four of us set of on this four part journey unfortunately at times some of us had missed out on some sections. All four made it from Thetford through Castle Acre to Holme and also from Hunstanton to Wells, but at this final stretch we lost John through family illness, Tim for one short stretch through work and Mark for an even shorter stretch when the grim weather, against all odds, outwitted his waterproofs. And so it was that Duncan alone managed to stride confidently into Cromer at the end of the 93 mile Peddars Way / Norfolk Coastal Path walk.

And it must be said that we had walked many of these sections before too, so it's not as if we've avoided it! And so to this second half of the North Norfolk Coastal Path - Wells to Blakeney via Stiffkey, Blakeney to Cley, Salthouse, Weybourne, and Weybourne through Sheringham, West Runton to Cromer.

Walking? Over-rated I'd say.
