 Colonel Potter

Here is chapter 6 of the murder mystery.

There are ten chapters, so perhaps you could ask 9 friends to write a chapter each - or two friends and yourself writing three chapters each. Of course you could copy each chapter and e-mail it to a friend or just send them a message saying where this web page is and ask them to join in.

In the end you will have a ten chapter murder mystery and should be able to work out who did it. Answers in next week's lesson, lesson 7.

Here is the start of the chapter 6. Copy it to the same file as chapter 1. Continue writing the chapter after the three dots ... using the words in italics as suggestions

6. Like a cat awakening, the street is slowly waking up. Mrs Trench, a neighbour, calling for her cat from her doorstep, notices a large piece of wood leaning against Colonel Potter's wall in a strange way. She wonders if the Colonel has been into his garden yet, but can see no footmarks when she goes in to examine the piece of wood...

(Does she notice his curtains are still closed? What does she think about the wood? Does she notice anything else?)

 Chapter 1  Chapter 2
 Chapter 3   Chapter 4
  Chapter 5   Chapter 7
  Chapter 8   Chapter 9

  Chapter 10

Copy each chapter into the same file and keep them in the right order.
